Water hammer arrestor ductile iron AIF-D flanged PN16 Port sizes DN80 3", DN100 4", DN125 5", DN150 6", DN200 8", DN250 10" and DN300 12" inch come with a fully adjustable sealed air pressure chamber. Max working pressure up to 12 Bar, Pressure tested to 21 Bar, Temperature range -15ºC to +80ºC with an option for FKM diaphragms for different media or higher working temperature applications, PN16 flange is standard, optional ANSI150Lb, JIS10K, PN10, PN25 and most other flange options and sizes are available so please feel free to ask..

The AIF-D stainless steel anti water hammer valve (water shock absorber) works on a pressurised air chamber and a flexible diaphragm principle and does not suffer from response lag time, friction wear, sealing leakage or air bubble loss that can be seen in other designs. The AIF-D ductile iron water hammer arrestor offers a pressure gauge as standard for air chamber pressure monitoring and can be easily adjusted reduced or topped up via the external schrader tyre valve. Temperature range -15ºC to +80ºC

Generally water hammer occurs downstream from check or non-return valves on when the length of a horizontal pipe exceed 50 meters or when pumps are used in pipeline systems during start or shut down.
