Scope 3 and WLCA Support

If you’re preparing a Scope 3 emissions report or a Whole Life Cycle Assessment (WLCA) and need supply-chain information for valves, solenoids, or pneumatic components, we can help.
Connexion Developments Ltd (Solenoid Valve World) regularly supports contractors, OEMs, and end users with practical product and logistics information used in WLCA scopes A1–A5 (and beyond where relevant).
Bottom line: you don’t need to start from scratch. If you need evidence for your project file, we’ll guide you to the right level of information quickly and transparently.
Scope 3 WLCA What We Can Provide
Product materials overview (A1–A3 support)
We can supply:
Typical construction materials (e.g., brass body, stainless steel internals, elastomer seals, copper windings where applicable)
Indicative component mass (per item, per carton, or per shipment where available)
Supplier environmental statements (e.g., ISO 14001 certification, manufacturing location, process notes where available)
Compliance references already held for many product lines (WRAS, CE/UKCA, RoHS/REACH statements where applicable)
Transport and logistics (A4 support)
We can provide:
Transport modes used (sea freight, road freight, courier)
Typical routing (origin country → port/airport → UK port/Hub → our warehouse → your site, if required)
Consignment details at a practical level (e.g., carton counts, weights, shipment type)
Our delivery origin details for UK dispatch from:
Connexion Developments Ltd, Unit 3 Rainbow Court, Armstrong Way, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5NG, United Kingdom
Installation stage notes (A5 support)
For many components (e.g., solenoid valves), A5 impacts are typically limited to normal installation activity and are often modelled at project level. We can provide:
Practical installation notes (mounting, power, accessories)
Packaging information where relevant (cardboard, foam, palletisation—subject to availability)
What We Can’t Honestly Claim (But We’ll Still Help)
To keep your reporting robust, we’ll always be clear about boundaries.
We may not be able to provide:
A third-party verified Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) per SKU, unless the manufacturer has commissioned one
Fully closed-loop / recycled content traceability for all raw materials (this is often upstream-foundry specific)
Exact GPS-tracked transport data for every historic movement (unless provided by freight partners)
When data is indicative or best-available, we will label it as such so your sustainability assessor can apply recognised carbon factors (e.g., DEFRA/BEIS datasets or LCA databases) correctly.
Why This Matters
Many organisations now require supply-chain evidence as part of:
Building and infrastructure projects (WLCA A1–A5)
Corporate sustainability reporting (Scope 3 Category 1: Purchased Goods & Services)
Public sector procurement
Large OEM supply agreements
We’re set up to respond quickly and consistently—especially for repeat projects.
Typical Data Requests We Receive
Materials
“What is the valve body made from?”
“Do you have indicative weight per unit or per carton?”
“Is the brass recycled or primary production?”
Transport
“Sea freight vs air freight?”
“Origin location and destination postcodes/what3words?”
“HGV class / courier type / distance estimate?”
Documentation
“Supplier ISO 14001 certificate?”
“Manufacturing country confirmation?”
“Statement letter suitable for a project file?”
How to Request Scope 3 / WLCA Information
Please complete the attached Scope 3 / WLCA request form and return it to us — we’ll provide the best-available dataset for your assessment.

We’ll reply with the best-available dataset and supporting statements we can provide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide carbon footprint values (kgCO₂e) per valve?
Sometimes—only if a manufacturer has issued a formal PCF/LCA figure. More commonly we provide inputs (materials, mass, transport mode and legs) so your assessor can calculate using approved carbon factors.
Are your valves “low carbon” or “carbon neutral”?
We avoid marketing claims unless formally proven. Instead, we focus on transparent, auditable information you can use in your own reporting.
Can you support WRAS valve projects?
Yes. We frequently support documentation requests for WRAS-related projects, including product traceability, approvals, and now WLCA-style information where available.
Do you ship by air?
For many stocked items, we supply to the UK by sea freight to reduce cost and emissions. If air is ever used (urgent exceptions), we will state this clearly.
Our Promise
We’ll treat your Scope 3/WLCA request as a normal part of modern procurement:
Clear, practical, and honest information
Fast turnaround where possible
Consistent support for repeat projects
Free UK delivery on qualifying orders (see delivery terms)
