2" Normally Open Chemical Solenoid Valve PTFE, PVC or PP – 160B50
The 160B50 is a high-flow chemically resistant 2/2 way normally open solenoid valve designed for controlling acids, alkalis, water and other aggressive industrial fluids where a fail-open valve function is required.
Available with PVC, polypropylene (PP) or PTFE valve bodies, the 160B50 is the largest model in the normally open Type 160B range and is particularly suited to chemical processing, water treatment and corrosive fluid applications requiring high flow capacity.
The pressure-assisted diaphragm design incorporates a PTFE isolating bellows, creating a dry-armature arrangement that isolates the solenoid mechanism from the process media. The valve remains open without electrical power and closes when energised.
With a large 50mm orifice, 494.32 L/min water flow and a 0.3–6 Bar operating pressure range, the 160B50 provides substantial flow capacity for demanding chemical handling and transfer systems.

The normally open design automatically returns the valve to the open position when electrical power is removed, making the 160B50 suitable for chemical processes where continued flow is the preferred power-failure condition.
