Description
1¼" Acid & Alkali Solenoid Valve PTFE, PVC or PP – 160A32
The 160A32 is a high-flow chemically resistant 2/2 way normally closed solenoid valve designed for controlling acids, alkalis, water and other aggressive industrial fluids.
Available with PVC, polypropylene (PP) or PTFE valve bodies, the 160A32 can be configured to suit chemical processing, dosing, water treatment and corrosive fluid applications. The pressure-assisted diaphragm design incorporates a PTFE isolating bellows, creating a dry-armature arrangement that separates the solenoid mechanism from the process media.
With a large 32mm orifice, 387.44 L/min water flow and a 0.3–6 Bar operating pressure range, the 160A32 provides high flow capacity while retaining the chemical resistance required for demanding process applications.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 way normally closed
Operation: Pressure assisted / servo assisted
Valve Design: Diaphragm seat valve
Armature Design: PTFE bellows isolated dry armature
Normal Position: Closed when de-energised
Energised Position: Open
Minimum Differential Pressure: 0.3 Bar
Operating Pressure: 0.3 to 6 Bar
The PTFE isolating bellows separates the solenoid armature mechanism from the process media, providing additional protection when controlling corrosive and chemically aggressive fluids.
Ports & Connections
Nominal Size: DN32
PVC Body: 40mm socket connection
PP Body: 40mm socket connection
PTFE Body: 1¼" BSP threaded connection
The choice of PVC, PP or PTFE construction allows the valve body material and connection type to be selected according to the chemical process and associated pipework.
Pressure & Flow
Operating Pressure: 0.3 to 6 Bar
Minimum Differential Pressure: 0.3 Bar
Orifice: 32mm
Water Flow: 387.44 L/min at 1 Bar pressure drop
Maximum Media Viscosity: 50 cSt
The large 32mm internal flow path provides substantial flow capacity for chemical transfer, water treatment and industrial process applications.

Why Choose the 160A32?
The 160A32 combines a large 32mm flow path with chemically resistant PVC, polypropylene or PTFE body options and a PTFE bellows-isolated dry armature.
Its 0.3–6 Bar pressure range and 387.44 L/min water flow make it particularly suitable for larger chemical processing and transfer systems where both high flow capacity and resistance to aggressive media are required.
The choice of PVC, PP or PTFE construction also allows the valve material to be matched more closely to the chemical media and existing process pipework.
