1/2" WRAS N/Open Water Solenoid Valve – Danfoss EV220BNO


The Danfoss 132U1501 is a 1/2" WRAS approved normally open brass solenoid valve designed for reliable control of potable water systems where flow is required when electrical power is removed.

This 2/2 way normally open, pressure-assisted valve provides a 15mm orifice, Kv 4.0 m³/h flow capacity and 0.3–16 Bar operating pressure, together with an anti-water-hammer design for controlled water shut-off.

The 132U1501 replaces the previous Danfoss 032U7117, providing a useful cross-reference for existing installations.

The normally open configuration allows flow through the valve without electrical power. Energising the solenoid closes the valve, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring fail-safe open operation.
The servo-assisted diaphragm requires a minimum 0.3 Bar differential pressure for reliable operation.

The EV220BNO incorporates an anti-water-hammer design, with controlled closing helping reduce hydraulic shock and pressure surges in water pipework.
This is particularly useful in mains-water systems, building services and installations where sudden shut-off could otherwise produce damaging water hammer.
