1/8"–3/8" Stainless Steel Steam Solenoid Valve – SUS6, SUS8 & SUS10


The SUS6, SUS8 and SUS10 are compact 2/2 way normally closed direct-acting stainless steel steam solenoid valves designed for steam, hot water, air, vacuum, light oils and compatible industrial fluids.

Unlike pressure-assisted steam valves, the SUS6–10 Series operates from 0 Bar differential pressure, making it particularly useful for closed-loop systems, low-pressure steam equipment, vacuum applications and installations where sufficient differential pressure cannot always be guaranteed.

Manufactured from 316 CF8M stainless steel with stainless steel internals and PTFE seals as standard, the range handles media temperatures up to +185°C. Port sizes of 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8" are available, with operating pressures up to 10 Bar depending on valve size.

Minimum differential pressure: 0 Bar
The SUS6–10 Series is direct acting, meaning the solenoid operator mechanically controls the valve without requiring media pressure to assist opening.
This allows reliable operation from zero differential pressure and makes the series particularly useful for low-pressure, gravity-fed and vacuum applications where a conventional pressure-assisted steam valve may not operate correctly.

The 316 stainless steel construction provides improved corrosion resistance compared with conventional brass steam valves and allows the SUS Series to be considered for compatible process fluids as well as steam and hot water.

Maximum media viscosity: 50 cSt
Compatibility must be checked against the 316 stainless steel construction and selected seal material, particularly for chemically aggressive fluids.

Ambient temperature: -5°C to +60°C
Alternative seal materials have lower temperature limits, so PTFE should be selected for the highest-temperature steam applications.

One point I'd change from the existing page: the supplied datasheet only documents 24VDC, 110VAC and 230VAC in its electrical table. It doesn't support the existing 12VDC claim, so I would leave 12VDC off unless you know you physically supply/test that voltage.

The main advantage of the SUS6–10 over larger pressure-assisted steam solenoid valves is its direct-acting, zero-differential-pressure operation.
This makes it particularly valuable where steam, hot water or process media pressure can fall close to zero, or where the outlet side of the valve may already be pressurised.
The combination of 316 stainless steel, PTFE sealing, +185°C media capability and zero-pressure operation provides a compact solution for demanding high-temperature applications where a conventional pilot-operated steam valve may not be suitable.
