Description

1/2"–2" Normally Open Stainless Steel Steam Solenoid Valve – NOSUS


The NOSUS Series is a 2/2 way normally open stainless steel steam solenoid valve designed for applications where the valve must remain open until electrically energised. Featuring a pressure-assisted piston design with a forged 316 stainless steel body, the NOSUS range provides reliable control of steam, hot and cold water, air, gases and light oils at temperatures up to +185°C. Available in sizes from 1/2" to 2" BSP with optional NPT threads, these valves are ideal for fail-safe installations, steam distribution, process heating and industrial fluid control systems.

Function: 2/2 way normally open
Operating principle: Pressure-assisted piston
Minimum operating pressure:
1/2"–1": 0.5 Bar differential
1¼"–2": 1 Bar differential
Port sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1¼", 1½" and 2" BSP
Optional NPT threads

Pressure range:
1/2"–1½": 0.5 to 10 Bar
2": 1 to 8 Bar
Orifice sizes: 17 mm, 22 mm, 30 mm and 50 mm
Flow capacity: 57.2 to 686.4 L/min
(Equivalent to Cv values from 4 to 48 m³/hr depending on valve size.)
Maximum media temperature: +185°C
Ambient temperature: -10°C to +50°C
Maximum media viscosity: 20 cSt
Suitable for high frequency applications
