1½" Irrigation Solenoid Valve with PRV – PN22514APRV
The PN22514APRV is a 1½" normally closed irrigation solenoid valve with integrated pressure reducing valve, combining automatic electrical water control and downstream pressure regulation within a single valve assembly.
Designed for higher-flow irrigation systems, the valve features a large 40mm orifice providing 417.5 L/min water flow at 1 Bar pressure drop, together with an adjustable 0.8 to 6.5 Bar outlet pressure range. This allows downstream irrigation pressure to be controlled while the solenoid provides automatic ON/OFF operation.
Its heavy-duty glass-reinforced UV-resistant PA66 body, anti-water hammer design, manual override and external bleed system make the PN22514APRV particularly suited to agricultural irrigation, sprinkler systems, landscaping and greenhouse water distribution.

The PN22514APRV combines two important irrigation functions:
Automatic solenoid shut-off
and
Adjustable downstream pressure control
When the solenoid is de-energised, the valve remains closed. Energising the coil opens the valve, while the integrated pressure reducing mechanism regulates the downstream water pressure.
Minimum pressure differential: 0.8 Bar
Operating pressure: 0.8 to 10 Bar
Integrated Pressure Reducing Valve
Pressure adjustment range: 0.8 to 6.5 Bar
The integrated PRV allows the outlet pressure to be adjusted to suit the requirements of the downstream irrigation system.
Once set, the valve regulates the downstream pressure to provide a more stable supply as upstream conditions vary.
This is particularly useful where the incoming water pressure is higher than required by sprinklers, irrigation pipework or other downstream equipment.
Why Pressure Regulation Matters
Excessive irrigation pressure can result in poor sprinkler performance, excessive water consumption and increased stress on pipework and fittings.
By combining pressure reduction with electrical ON/OFF control, the PN22514APRV can reduce the need for a separate solenoid valve and separate pressure reducing valve.
It also allows different irrigation zones to be configured for appropriate downstream operating pressures.

Anti-Water Hammer Design
The PN22514APRV incorporates an anti-water hammer design to help reduce hydraulic shock during valve operation.
This becomes increasingly important with the 40mm orifice and high flow capacity, where rapid changes in water velocity can otherwise generate substantial pressure surges.
Manual Override & External Bleed
An integrated manual override allows local operation during installation, commissioning, maintenance or electrical failure.
The external bleed screw incorporates a removable metering pin, allowing the pilot system to be inspected and cleaned without completely dismantling the valve.
