3 Way UPVC Motorised Ball Valve – T Port & L Port
The ABV3P Series 3-way UPVC motorised ball valve provides automatic flow diversion, changeover and mixing of water, chemicals and compatible process fluids.
Combining a corrosion-resistant true union UPVC 3-way ball valve with a compact IP67 electric actuator, the ABV3P is available with T-port or L-port ball configurations and a choice of standard power open/power close or automatic failsafe operation.
Available from 1/2" (DN15) to 2" (DN50) with BSP female connections as standard, each valve is fully assembled and function tested before dispatch.
T Port & L Port Flow Control
The internal ball configuration determines how the three valve ports are interconnected.
T Port versions provide greater flexibility for diverting, mixing or connecting multiple flow paths. Four T-port operating patterns are available:

✓ B pattern
✓ E pattern
L Port versions provide changeover or diversion between two alternative flow paths while isolating the remaining port.
The required flow pattern should be selected according to the intended pipework arrangement and actuator operating positions.
Actuator Control Options
The ABV3P can be configured with different actuator functions to suit the control system and required response to loss of electrical power.
Power Open / Power Close
Electrical power drives the valve between its operating positions. The actuator remains in its last commanded position when control power is removed.
Failsafe Return
The valve is electrically operated during normal service and automatically moves to its predetermined safe position following loss of electrical power.
Power Open / Power Close + Failsafe
Provides normal powered operation in both directions together with automatic movement to the predetermined failsafe position if the electrical supply fails.

True Union UPVC Ball Valve
The true union valve construction allows the valve body to be removed from the pipeline for inspection or maintenance without disturbing the adjoining pipework.

EPDM or FKM Seal Selection
EPDM seals are suitable for water and many dilute chemical solutions where EPDM is chemically compatible with the process medium.
FKM (Viton®) seals provide an alternative for applications requiring compatibility with media for which EPDM is unsuitable.
Seal material should always be selected according to the chemical concentration, operating temperature and process medium.

For chemical applications, material compatibility should be confirmed for the specific medium, concentration and operating temperature before installation.
Automatic Failsafe Return
The intelligent failsafe actuator incorporates an internal electrical energy-storage system.
During normal operation, reserve energy is stored within the actuator. If the incoming electrical supply is lost, this stored energy automatically drives the valve to its predetermined safe position.
Unlike conventional spring-return actuation, no mechanical spring or external backup battery is required.
Failsafe features include:

✓ Less than 0.5W standby consumption
✓ Position feedback
✓ No external backup battery required
Important: Following a failsafe operation, allow approximately 1.5–2 minutes after power is restored for the internal energy-storage system to recharge before another failsafe cycle is available.
Position Feedback
Optional E2 volt-free open and closed feedback switches provide remote confirmation of actuator position.

The feedback contacts indicate valve position independently of the actuator control signal.

Fully Assembled & Tested
Each ABV3P motorised valve is supplied as a complete assembled actuator and valve package.
The actuator is mounted and aligned to the selected T-port or L-port valve configuration and the completed assembly is function tested before dispatch, reducing installation and commissioning work on site.
