1/4"–3/4" Brass Normally Open Solenoid Valve 0–20 Bar – Sunwell RS
The Sunwell RS06, RS10, RS15 and RS20 Series are high-performance 2/2 way normally open brass solenoid valves designed for automatic control of air, water, gases, vacuum and compatible low-viscosity fluids.
Using a direct acting design, the RS Series operates from zero pressure differential and automatically opens when electrical power is removed, providing fail-open operation. With working pressures up to 20 Bar and seven selectable orifice sizes, the valve can be configured to balance pressure capability and flow performance for demanding industrial applications.
Available with 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" connections, forged brass construction, stainless steel internals and multiple seal options, the RS Series is suitable for industrial automation, vacuum equipment, water systems, gas control and OEM machinery.

The RS Series uses a direct acting normally open mechanism, allowing reliable operation without a minimum pressure differential. Energising the coil closes the valve, while removing electrical power returns the valve to its normally open position.
This makes the RS particularly suitable for applications where flow is required to continue following loss of electrical power.

Flow figures are based on water with a 1 Bar pressure differential.
The smaller orifices provide the highest pressure capability. With the 18.5W coil, the 2mm version is rated up to 20 Bar AC or 16 Bar DC, while progressively larger orifices provide increased flow at lower maximum pressures.
Vacuum Performance
The RS Series is suitable for vacuum applications, with vacuum capability dependent on the selected orifice.

Compact Direct Acting Design
Unlike conventional pressure-assisted valves, the Sunwell RS Series does not require a minimum inlet pressure or pressure differential to operate.
This makes it particularly useful for low-pressure and vacuum duties where a normally open valve is required. The choice of seven orifice sizes allows engineers to select higher pressure capability or increased flow without changing to a completely different valve family.
