Intelligent Water Leak Protection for Commercial & Industrial Buildings
The WLDS1V Water Leak Detection System continuously monitors for water leaks using leak detection cable or spot sensors and automatically isolates the water supply before significant damage can occur.
Designed for commercial buildings, plant rooms, data centres, apartment blocks, hotels and critical infrastructure, the system combines a mains-powered leak detection controller with motorised shut-off valves, leak detection cable and BMS alarm integration to provide complete automatic water protection. The controller monitors up to three detection zones using either leak detection cables or spot probes, automatically closing the water supply and activating both local and remote alarms when water is detected.
How the System Works
Leak detection cable or spot probe detects water.
Controller activates audible and visual alarms.
Motorised shut-off valve automatically isolates the water supply.
Volt-free relay contact signals the alarm to the Building Management System (BMS).
Once the leak has been repaired and the cable has dried, the system automatically returns to normal operation.

The specialist WDC4 detection cable senses water along its entire length using stainless steel sensor wires bonded into a flexible cable. It can also be supplied in much longer custom lengths for larger installations.

Detection Technology
Unlike simple conductivity sensors, the WLDS1V uses a bi-directional sensing signal to prevent electrolysis and polarisation of the stainless steel sensing wires.
This significantly extends sensor life while maintaining reliable leak detection throughout the installation. The WDC4 cable is specifically designed to detect water anywhere along its entire length and uses stainless steel sensing wires with additional conductors for signal forwarding or line monitoring.
