Description

1/4"–3/8" 300 Bar Coaxial Solenoid Valve – RSG 267

The RSG 267 is a compact 2/2 way direct-acting high-pressure coaxial solenoid valve designed for reliable control of compatible liquids and gases at pressures up to 300 Bar.

Available as normally closed or normally open, the valve operates from zero differential pressure and is available with seven nominal orifice sizes from 1mm to 6mm. This allows the pressure and flow capacity to be matched closely to the application, with the smaller PEEK-seated versions providing the highest pressure capability and larger PTFE-seated versions providing increased flow.

The RSG 267 is available with 1/4" or 3/8" BSP connections, a galvanised steel body as standard and optional nickel-plated steel construction.

Valve Function & Operation

The RSG 267 is a direct-acting 2/2 way coaxial solenoid valve available in two switching configurations.
267A – Normally Closed
The valve remains closed when electrically de-energised and opens when the solenoid is energised.
267B – Normally Open
The valve remains open when electrically de-energised and closes when the solenoid is energised.
Because the RSG 267 is direct acting, no minimum differential pressure is required for operation.

Ports & Connections

Standard process connections:
✓ G1/4 BSP
✓ G3/8 BSP
Optional connections:
✓ NPT Threads
✓ Special Connections

Pressure, Orifice & Flow

The maximum operating pressure, reverse-pressure capability and flow capacity depend upon the selected orifice and whether the valve is normally closed or normally open.

Normally Closed 267A
✓ 1mm – 300 Bar – 0.7 L/min
✓ 2mm – 300 Bar – 1.9 L/min
✓ 2.5mm – 300 Bar – 2.7 L/min
✓ 3mm – 270 Bar – 4.6 L/min
✓ 4mm – 135 Bar – 7.3 L/min
✓ 5mm – 90 Bar – 8.2 L/min
✓ 6mm – 60 Bar – 10.7 L/min

Normally Open 267B
✓ 1mm – 300 Bar – 0.7 L/min
✓ 2mm – 300 Bar – 1.9 L/min
✓ 2.5mm – 220 Bar – 2.7 L/min
✓ 3mm – 150 Bar – 4.6 L/min
✓ 4mm – 90 Bar – 7.3 L/min
✓ 5mm – 60 Bar – 8.2 L/min
✓ 6mm – 40 Bar – 10.7 L/min
Flow values are based on the manufacturer's stated flow data for each nominal orifice.
Reverse pressure A → P also varies according to the selected orifice and switching function, ranging from 1 Bar to 100 Bar. Where reverse pressure is present, please specify the required pressure when ordering so the correct configuration can be selected.

Direct-Acting Coaxial Design

The RSG 267 uses a direct-acting coaxial construction with the solenoid actuator and moving valve components arranged along the process flow axis.
This design provides reliable switching without relying upon process pressure to operate the valve and makes the RSG 267 particularly suitable for high-pressure applications where conventional pressure-assisted solenoid valves may not be appropriate.
Key operating advantages include:
✓ Zero Differential Operation
✓ Up To 300 Bar Pressure
✓ Direct Solenoid Actuation
✓ Compact Construction
✓ Fast Switching
✓ High Cycling Capability
✓ Any Mounting Position

High Viscosity Fluids

The RSG 267 is suitable for compatible fluids with viscosities up to 500 cSt.
Typical media can include hydraulic oils, lubricating oils, process oils and other viscous industrial fluids compatible with the selected sealing and body materials.
Actual suitability depends upon fluid viscosity, operating temperature, pressure and material compatibility.

Construction & Seals

Standard Body: Galvanised Steel
Optional Body: Nickel-Plated Steel
Static Seal: FKM
Seat Seal: PEEK or PTFE
The sealing material is determined by the selected orifice and pressure range.
PEEK Seat
✓ 1mm Orifice
✓ 2mm Orifice
✓ 2.5mm Orifice
✓ 3mm Orifice
PEEK is used for the smaller, higher-pressure configurations.
PTFE Seat
✓ 4mm Orifice
✓ 5mm Orifice
✓ 6mm Orifice
PTFE is used with the larger flow paths where the maximum operating pressure is lower.

Media Compatibility

The RSG 267 is suitable for liquids and gases compatible with its materials of construction.
Typical media include:
✓ Air
✓ Water
✓ Hydraulic Oils
✓ Lubricating Oils
✓ Process Liquids
✓ Compatible Chemicals
✓ Compatible Gases
✓ Fluids Up To 500 cSt
For aggressive chemicals, specialist gases or unusual process fluids, compatibility should be confirmed against the valve's wetted materials before ordering.

Temperature

Media Temperature: -10°C to +100°C
Ambient Temperature: -10°C to +50°C
The appropriate pressure, sealing material and media compatibility should be considered together when selecting the valve.

Switching Performance

Opening Time: Approx. 30ms
Closing Time: Approx. 200ms
The direct-acting coaxial construction provides fast electrical switching for automated high-pressure fluid-control applications.
