ATEX Ex d Bi-Stable NAMUR Solenoid Valve – Rotex 57450V02-06
The Rotex 57450V02-06 is an ATEX Ex d explosion-proof NAMUR solenoid valve designed for hazardous-area pneumatic actuator control where reliable bi-stable operation and retention of the last commanded position are required.
Featuring double-solenoid bi-stable operation with internal pilot control, the valve can be configured for 3/2 or 5/2 way operation and mounts directly onto compatible NAMUR pneumatic actuators. The bi-stable design switches between positions using opposing solenoids and remains in its last selected position after the electrical signal is removed.
Operating from 2 to 8 Bar, the 57450V02-06 is available with a hard-anodised aluminium or 316 stainless steel body, together with an ATEX Ex db / Ex tb enclosure rated IP66/IP67.

The Rotex 57450V02-06 is designed primarily for direct mounting onto pneumatic rotary actuators.
With bi-stable operation, energising one solenoid switches the valve into one position, while energising the opposite solenoid switches it back.
Once switched, the valve remains in its last commanded position when the electrical signal is removed. Unlike a monostable spring-return valve, it does not automatically return simply because the solenoid has been de-energised.

The valve can be configured for 3/2 or 5/2 way operation, providing flexibility for different actuator and control arrangements.
The direct NAMUR interface reduces external pneumatic tubing between the solenoid valve and actuator, producing a compact installation particularly suited to automated process valves.
