Description
3/8" Brass High Vacuum Solenoid Valve – AD-14-V-G2-V
Normally Closed Zero-Rated Vacuum Solenoid Valve – Full Vacuum to 10 Bar
The CS Fluid Power AD-14-V-G2-V is a high-performance 2/2 way normally closed brass vacuum solenoid valve designed for reliable control of industrial vacuum and compatible gas systems.
Using an assisted-lift, zero-rated design, the valve operates from high vacuum at -101 kPa (99.67% vacuum) through to positive pressure, providing a versatile solution where the same valve may experience vacuum and pressure during operation. The manufacturer datasheet confirms the 3/8" model uses a 15 mm orifice with Cv 4.5, with maximum differential pressure of 10 Bar AC or 7 Bar DC.
With a brass body, stainless steel internal components and FKM seals, the AD-14-V is designed for industrial vacuum equipment, packaging machinery, automation and general vacuum control applications.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 way normally closed
Operation: Assisted lift, zero rated
In its normal de-energised condition, the valve remains closed. Energising the solenoid operator opens the valve to permit flow.
The assisted-lift construction allows operation without requiring a conventional minimum pressure differential, making the valve particularly suitable for vacuum applications.
Ports & Connections
Port size: 3/8" BSPP
Optional:
✓ NPT thread
The AD-14-V-G2-V uses a 15 mm internal orifice, providing substantially greater flow capacity than small direct-acting vacuum solenoid valves.
Vacuum & Pressure Performance
Vacuum rating: -101 kPa
Equivalent vacuum:
757.56 mmHg relative
99.67% vacuum
Maximum AC pressure: 10 Bar
Maximum DC pressure: 7 Bar

These construction and operating details are specified on the manufacturer's AD-14/50-V datasheet.
Seal & Media Compatibility
The standard FKM / Viton seals provide good compatibility with many vacuum gases and industrial fluids.
Suitable applications should always be confirmed against the chemical compatibility of the brass body, stainless steel internals and FKM seals.
For vacuum applications involving aggressive gases, oxygen or specialist process media, material compatibility and any required cleaning or certification should be confirmed before ordering.

High Vacuum and Positive Pressure Control
Many conventional solenoid valves rely on upstream pressure differential to operate and are therefore unsuitable for high-vacuum service.
The AD-14-V-G2-V uses a zero-rated assisted-lift design, allowing the valve to operate at high vacuum while retaining useful positive-pressure capability.
This makes it particularly useful for machinery where a vacuum line needs dependable automatic isolation but a larger 15 mm flow path is required than would normally be practical with a conventional direct-acting solenoid valve.
