The CS Fluid Power AD-15-V-G2-V is a high-performance 1/2" brass vacuum solenoid valve designed for reliable isolation and control of industrial vacuum and compatible gas systems.
Using a 2/2 way normally closed, zero-rated assisted-lift design, the valve operates from high vacuum at -101 kPa (99.67% vacuum) through to positive pressure. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where conventional pressure-assisted solenoid valves cannot operate reliably due to insufficient pressure differential.
The 1/2" AD-15-V features a 15 mm orifice and Cv 4.5, with maximum differential pressure of 10 Bar AC or 7 Bar DC.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 way normally closed
Operation: Assisted lift, zero rated
When de-energised, the valve remains closed. Energising the solenoid operator lifts the valve mechanism to open the flow path.
Unlike a conventional pilot-operated valve requiring a minimum pressure differential, the AD-15-V is zero rated, allowing operation at vacuum and zero differential pressure.

Seal & Media Compatibility

With the ATEX operator fitted, the operating range is restricted to vacuum through to +3 Bar. The AD Series datasheet confirms the optional explosion-protected coil has a 3 Bar maximum pressure.
The ATEX / IECEx certification applies to the optional solenoid operator and should not be described as certification of the complete valve assembly unless separate valve-body certification is available.
Optional Manual Override
A top-mounted lift-and-turn manual override is available for the AD Series, providing manual operation for commissioning, testing and maintenance.

High Vacuum to Positive Pressure
The AD-15-V-G2-V is particularly useful where a single solenoid valve needs to operate reliably from high vacuum through zero differential pressure and into positive pressure.
Its 15 mm assisted-lift design combines the vacuum capability of a zero-rated valve with considerably greater flow capacity than would normally be practical from a purely direct-acting solenoid valve.
