1/4" & 3/8" 200 Bar Stainless Solenoid Valve – ERA SIB PREN55400
The ERA SIB PREN55400 is a high-pressure stainless steel solenoid valve designed for compressed air and compatible high-pressure fluid and gas control applications operating at pressures up to 200 Bar.
Featuring a 2/2 way normally closed, servo-assisted design, the PREN55400 combines an 8mm orifice with a 10 L/min water flow rating, providing considerably greater flow capacity than small-orifice direct-acting high-pressure valves. The valve requires a minimum 10 Bar pressure differential and operates up to a maximum 200 Bar.
Available with 1/4" or 3/8" BSP connections, the valve features an AISI 303 stainless steel body, stainless steel internals and combined NBR + PTFE sealing for demanding high-pressure industrial applications.

Operation: Servo / pressure assisted
The PREN55400 remains closed when electrical power is removed and opens when the solenoid is energised.
Unlike a direct-acting high-pressure solenoid valve, the PREN55400 uses the inlet pressure to assist valve operation. This enables the valve to combine its large 8mm orifice with pressures up to 200 Bar, but means that a minimum pressure differential of 10 Bar is required for correct operation.

Seal System
The PREN55400 uses a combined NBR and PTFE sealing system.
NBR provides resilient elastomeric sealing while PTFE provides excellent low-friction and chemical-resistant properties.

High Flow 200 Bar Design
The major advantage of the PREN55400 is its combination of high operating pressure and relatively large flow capacity.
Many direct-acting valves rated for 200 Bar or more require extremely small orifices because the solenoid must overcome the full pressure force acting on the valve seat.
The servo-assisted PREN55400 uses system pressure to assist operation, allowing an 8mm orifice and 10 L/min water flow while maintaining a maximum operating pressure of 200 Bar.
This makes it particularly useful where a small direct-acting high-pressure valve would create an unacceptable flow restriction.
Installation
The PREN55400 must be installed with the solenoid coil vertically uppermost.
The system must also provide at least 10 Bar pressure differential across the valve for correct servo-assisted operation.
Ensure that the fluid is clean and compatible with the NBR + PTFE sealing system. Appropriate upstream filtration is recommended where contamination could interfere with the pilot or sealing mechanism.
