Description
3/8" PVC Solenoid Valve for Chemical Dosing – UDC10
The UDC10 is a compact 3/8" 2/2 way normally closed solenoid valve designed for controlling strong acids, alkalis and corrosive chemical fluids compatible with PVC and PTFE.
Featuring a corrosion-resistant PVC valve body with PTFE sealing and an isolated dry-armature construction, the UDC10 helps protect the solenoid mechanism from aggressive process media. The manufacturer specifies the PVC UDC range for strong acid and strong alkali service, with PVC body corrosion resistance stated as pH 3–11.
The zero-pressure assisted-lift design operates from 0 Bar without requiring a minimum pressure differential. With a 6.5mm orifice and 4.7 L/min water flow at 1 Bar pressure drop, the UDC10 is suitable for chemical dosing, water treatment, laboratory equipment and industrial process applications.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 way normally closed
Operation: Assisted lift
Design: Isolated dry armature
Normal Position: Closed when de-energised
Energised Position: Open
Minimum Differential Pressure: 0 Bar
The UDC series uses a dry-armature assisted-lift design, allowing operation from zero differential pressure while helping isolate the solenoid mechanism from aggressive process media.
Ports & Connections
Port Size: 3/8" BSP
Optional Thread: NPT
The compact 3/8" connection makes the UDC10 suitable for chemical dosing equipment, laboratory systems, water treatment installations and OEM process machinery.
Pressure & Performance
Operating Pressure: 0 to 1 Bar
Minimum Differential Pressure: 0 Bar
Orifice: 6.5mm
Water Flow: 4.7 L/min at 1 Bar pressure drop
Maximum Media Viscosity: 20 cSt
Vacuum: Not suitable
The UDC10 provides zero-pressure operation for low-pressure chemical systems but is specifically identified by the manufacturer as unsuitable for vacuum service.
Construction & Materials
Body: PVC
Seals: PTFE
Diaphragm: NBR with PTFE coating
Solenoid Tube: Stainless steel
Armature: 430F stainless steel
Shading Ring: Copper
Coil Housing: Resin or metal
The PVC body is specified by the manufacturer with corrosion resistance approximately pH 3–11. For more aggressive applications, the UDC-TF series provides a PTFE body with a stated pH 0–14 resistance range.

Why Choose the UDC10?
The UDC10 combines a corrosion-resistant PVC body, PTFE sealing system and isolated dry-armature design in a compact 3/8" chemical solenoid valve.
Its ability to operate from 0 Bar makes it particularly useful for chemical dosing and low-pressure process systems where conventional pressure-assisted valves requiring a minimum differential pressure may not operate reliably.
For chemicals outside the useful compatibility range of PVC, the equivalent UDC-TF series offers a PTFE valve body for substantially greater chemical resistance.
