The Elektrogas EVRM-NC912 is a DN300 (12") PN16 flanged, 2/2 way normally closed manual-reset gas safety shut-off solenoid valve designed for automatic isolation of natural gas, LPG, air and compatible non-aggressive gases.
Designed for gas detection systems, burner installations, boilers, gas trains and other gas-consuming equipment, the EVRM-NC912 provides fail-safe gas isolation when connected to gas leakage detectors, safety thermostats, carbon monoxide alarms or other safety control systems.
The DN300 valve incorporates a dual-shutter pressure compensation system to assist manual resetting. Energising the coil does not automatically reopen the gas supply. The reset control must first be operated to equalise the pressure across the valve before it can be moved fully into the open position.

Manual Reset & Pressure Compensation Operation
When de-energised, an internal spring holds the valve disc closed and prevents gas flow.
Applying electrical power to the coil does not automatically open the valve. To restore gas flow, the coil must first be energised.
The DN300 EVRM-NC912 incorporates a dual-shutter pressure compensation system. To reset the valve, pull the reset control through the first stage and wait for the inlet and outlet pressure to equalise. The control can then be pulled completely to the fully open position.
Once manually reset, the valve remains open while electrical power is maintained.
If electrical power is interrupted by a gas detector, safety thermostat, emergency control or power failure, the valve closes rapidly in under one second. When power is restored, the valve remains closed.
The cause of the shutdown must therefore be investigated and cleared before the valve is manually reset and the gas supply restored.

Installation Notes
The valve may be installed with the coil vertically or horizontally, but must not be installed upside down.
For installation in vertical pipework, gas flow must be from bottom to top.
A gas filter should be installed upstream of the valve, and the installation location must be protected from rain, water splashes and dripping water.
Leak and functional testing should be carried out after installation in accordance with applicable regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
