1 Inch Fast 2 Second WRAS Approved Motorised Ball Valve – ABVM08S/9-2SEC


The ABVM08S/9-2SEC is a compact 1 inch WRAS approved motorised stainless steel ball valve designed for rapid automatic control of potable water systems. With an exceptionally fast 2 second operating time, low power consumption and reliable Power Open/Power Close operation, it is ideal for applications requiring rapid valve response and dependable long-term performance.

Manufactured from 304 stainless steel with WRAS approved PTFE and EPDM sealing materials, the valve provides reliable bubble-tight shut-off together with excellent corrosion resistance. The compact IP67 actuator is continuously rated for 100% duty operation, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor installations.

Control Options

Power Open / Power Close
Simple three-wire control for PLC and automation systems.
RED – Positive supply
BLACK – Negative supply
GREEN – Control wire
Applying power to the GREEN wire opens the valve.
Removing power from the GREEN wire closes the valve.
Once the valve reaches either end position the motor automatically switches off, minimising power consumption and heat generation.

Manual Override
Lift and twist the manual override button to operate the valve manually.
Push down to re-engage the motor.

ABVM Weather Cover
Provides additional protection against prolonged exposure to rain, UV and harsh outdoor environments.

E2 Position Feedback Switches
Volt-free fully OPEN and fully CLOSED confirmation switches.
Rating: 0–36V DC 0.4 Amp maximum

Performance

The ABVM 2 Second actuator has been engineered for applications requiring exceptionally fast valve operation without continuous motor power consumption.

Once the valve reaches its fully open or fully closed position, power to the motor is automatically removed, significantly reducing energy consumption while extending actuator life. Its compact IP67 design and robust metal gear train provide dependable performance for demanding industrial and commercial water control applications.
