Description

1/4" Zero Pressure Brass Solenoid Valve – CS AD8

CS Fluid Power Direct-Acting Normally Closed Solenoid Valve

The CS Fluid Power AD8 is a compact 1/4" direct-acting 2/2 way normally closed brass solenoid valve designed for vacuum, zero-pressure and general industrial fluid and gas control applications.

Unlike pressure-assisted or pilot-operated valves, the direct-acting design requires no minimum pressure differential, allowing reliable operation from 0 Bar and making the AD8 particularly suitable for vacuum, low-pressure and intermittent pressure applications.

Available with 3mm, 4mm or 5mm orifices, the AD8 series provides a choice of flow and pressure capabilities to suit air, water, light oils, inert gases, vacuum and compatible fluids up to 50 cSt.

Why Choose the AD8 Direct-Acting Valve?

The AD8 is particularly useful where a conventional pilot-operated solenoid valve cannot function because there is insufficient pressure differential across the valve.

Its direct-acting design operates from 0 Bar and under vacuum, making it suitable for low-pressure systems, vacuum lines and applications where system pressure may fluctuate or fall completely to zero.

The three available orifice sizes allow the valve to be selected according to the required balance between maximum pressure and flow capacity — from the 3mm AD8A rated up to 10 Bar AC, through to the higher-flow 5mm AD8C with Kv 10.7 L/min.

Excellent Buying Experience and honest communication recommend

I had great service from the knowledgeable staff, followed up with quick (and free) delivery. On fitting the valve, I had a problem and there was no hesitation in taking back the valve to test it. Even though it turned out not to be the supplied valve, the staff were still very helpful and keen to help me resolve things. I'll definitely buy from Solenoid Valves/Connexion Developments again. Thx and Regards M Clifford
