1/4"–3" Stainless Steel Air Actuated Ball Valve – 1000 PSI – SHAKO SCY2223
The SHAKO SCY2223 Series is a high-pressure stainless steel air actuated ball valve range, available in sizes from 1/4" to 3" BSP. Combining a full-bore SUS316 stainless steel ball valve with a double acting pneumatic actuator, the series provides reliable automated on/off flow control for compressed air, water, steam, oil and other compatible industrial fluids.
Rated to 1000 PSI (approximately 69 Bar), the stainless steel ball valve features PTFE seats and seals for dependable isolation in demanding industrial applications. The pneumatic actuator operates through 90° using a compressed air supply of 4–6 kgf/cm² (approximately 3.9–5.9 Bar).
Supplied fully assembled and function tested, the SCY2223 Series is suitable for industrial automation, process control, fluid handling and remote valve operation.
Double Acting Pneumatic Operation
The SCY2223 features a double acting pneumatic actuator that uses compressed air to open and close the ball valve.
Air supplied to the opening chamber rotates the valve 90° to its open position.
Air supplied to the closing chamber rotates the valve 90° to its closed position.
Unlike spring-return actuators, double acting pneumatic actuators require compressed air for movement in both directions and do not provide an automatic spring-return failsafe action.
The actuator includes a visual position indicator, allowing operators to identify the valve's open or closed position.
The assembly can be integrated into automated control systems using a suitable NAMUR pneumatic solenoid valve.
