Description

Normally Open WRAS Plastic Water Solenoid Valve – RPE 115BA

The RPE 115BA R Mini Series is a compact 2/2 way normally open plastic water solenoid valve, designed for drinking water, appliance and automatic water control applications.

In its normal de-energised state the valve remains open, with electrical power required to close the valve. This makes it suitable for applications requiring normally open or failsafe-open water control.

WRAS approved and manufactured with a glass-filled nylon body, the 115BA is available with a wide choice of BSP male, BSP female and push-fit connections, covering pipe sizes from 6mm up to 3/4".

The pressure-assisted design operates from 0.2 to 10 Bar and requires a minimum 0.2 Bar pressure differential for correct operation.

The valve remains open without electrical power. Energising the coil closes the valve.

Installation Note

As this is a normally open valve which requires electrical power to close, heat is generated while the valve is held closed.

Do not install the valve immediately adjacent to a tap, stop valve or other isolating device where closing both devices could trap water between them.

Heating of trapped fluid can cause thermal expansion and increased pressure within the isolated section of pipework.
