2" WRAS Water Solenoid Valve – Danfoss EV220BW


The Danfoss EV220BW 132U5000 is a 2" WRAS approved brass water solenoid valve designed for reliable control of high-flow potable water systems in commercial, industrial and building-services applications.

This 2/2 way normally closed, pressure-assisted valve combines a full 50mm orifice, exceptionally high Kv 40 m³/h flow capacity and 0.3–16 Bar operating pressure with a slow, controlled closing characteristic designed to minimise pressure surges and water hammer.

The 132U5000 supersedes the previous Danfoss 132U5003, providing a useful cross-reference for replacement applications.

The 2" EV220BW incorporates a deliberately slow and controlled closing profile to reduce the hydraulic shock associated with rapidly stopping high volumes of flowing water.
The 10-second closing time is particularly beneficial in large-bore pipework, helping minimise pressure surges and water hammer while protecting pumps, pipework, fittings and downstream equipment.
