2½" Normally Closed Brass Solenoid Valve – CEME 8620

The CEME 8620-ESM-NBR is a 2½" BSP normally closed brass solenoid valve designed for high-flow water, compressed air, light oils and other compatible neutral fluids.

This 2/2 way normally closed, pressure-assisted diaphragm valve remains closed when electrical power is removed and opens when energised. With its large 65mm orifice, conventional Kv flow factor of 63 m³/h and operating pressure up to 10 Bar, the 8620 provides very high flow capacity for large industrial water and fluid-control systems.

The large diaphragm and 65mm flow path make the 8620 particularly suitable for applications requiring high flow through 2½" pipework.

The manufacturer specifies a conventional Kv of 63 m³/h, providing substantially greater flow capacity than the smaller Type 86 models.

This makes the 8620 suitable for large cooling-water circuits, process-water systems, industrial plant and other high-flow installations requiring normally closed operation.

Adjustable Opening Characteristics

The 8620-ESM-NBR can be configured with interchangeable pilot jets to alter the valve opening characteristics.

Selecting a smaller pilot jet provides a more controlled opening response, helping reduce sudden pressure changes in large-bore pipework systems.
