Shako 220 Solenoid Valve Replacement Diaphragm – 3/8" to 1"
Replacement Shako 220 Series solenoid valve diaphragm for genuine PU220 brass and SPU220 stainless steel 2/2 way solenoid valves from 3/8" to 1".
Available in NBR, EPDM, FKM (Viton) and HNBR, allowing the diaphragm material to be selected according to the controlled media and operating temperature.
Three diaphragm sizes cover the 220 Series range from 3/8" to 1", with the 3/8" and 1/2" valves sharing the same 46mm diaphragm.
Please note: These individual diaphragms are being phased out. For future maintenance we recommend the complete Shako 220 Series seal kit, which includes the diaphragm and associated service components.
Seal Material Options
NBR – Nitrile / Buna-N
Temperature Range: -15°C to +80°C
General-purpose elastomer suitable for air, water, oils and other compatible media.
EPDM
Temperature Range: -5°C to +130°C
Suitable for water, hot water and other EPDM-compatible media. Not generally suitable for mineral oils and hydrocarbon fuels.
FKM / Viton
Temperature Range: -10°C to +150°C
Suitable for many oils, fuels, chemicals and higher-temperature applications, subject to media compatibility.
HNBR
Temperature Range: -40°C to +150°C
Provides a wide operating temperature range with improved mechanical and chemical resistance for compatible applications.

PU220 & SPU220 Compatibility
These diaphragms are designed for genuine Shako 220 Series solenoid valves:
PU220 – Brass body solenoid valves
SPU220 – Stainless steel body solenoid valves
The same diaphragm size is used for equivalent brass and stainless steel valve sizes.
Diaphragm Replacement
The diaphragm is a critical operating and sealing component within the pressure-assisted 220 Series solenoid valve.
Replacement may be required where an existing diaphragm has become worn, damaged, contaminated or chemically attacked.
When servicing an older valve, inspect the associated plunger, springs and O-rings at the same time. Where several components require replacement, the complete 220 Series seal kit will normally provide the more comprehensive service solution.
Product Phase-Out
These individual replacement diaphragms are being phased out.
Existing stock remains suitable for maintaining genuine Shako PU220 and SPU220 valves, but for future servicing we recommend using the corresponding complete Shako 220 Series seal and repair kit.
This provides the diaphragm together with the associated replacement sealing and operating components.
