Shako PU220A / PU220D Solenoid Valve Seal & Repair Kit
Replacement diaphragm, plunger and seal repair kits for genuine Shako PU220 Series brass and stainless steel solenoid valves.
Designed for servicing 2/2 way normally closed Shako 220 Series valves, the repair kits are available for 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" port sizes, with seal materials including NBR, EPDM, FKM (Viton) and HNBR according to valve configuration.
Separate WRAS EPDM repair kits are available for PU220D WRAS approved solenoid valves, allowing existing drinking-water valve installations to be serviced with the appropriate replacement diaphragm and sealing components.
Rather than replacing an otherwise serviceable complete solenoid valve, these repair kits allow the main internal wearing components to be renewed.

Standard 220 Series Repair Kit Contents
The standard Shako 220 Series repair kit consists of:

✓ Plunger / armature

✓ Valve body O-ring
These components cover the principal moving and sealing parts normally required when servicing an existing 220 Series solenoid valve.
Seal Material Options
Four diaphragm and seal material options are available.
NBR – Nitrile / Buna
Temperature Range: -15°C to +80°C
A common general-purpose sealing material used with air, water, oils and other compatible media.
EPDM
Temperature Range: -5°C to +130°C
Commonly selected for water and compatible aqueous applications where EPDM chemical compatibility is suitable.
FKM / Viton
Temperature Range: -10°C to +150°C
Provides increased temperature capability and good compatibility with many oils, fuels and compatible industrial fluids.
HNBR
Temperature Range: -40°C to +150°C
Provides the widest stated temperature range of the available seal materials, extending down to -40°C and up to +150°C.
Actual operating temperature is also limited by the specification of the complete solenoid valve, coil, controlled media and operating conditions.

The valve port size should always be checked before ordering because the diaphragm diameter changes with valve size.
PU220D WRAS Approved Valve Repair Kits
Separate repair kits are available specifically for Shako PU220D WRAS certified solenoid valves.
These use the appropriate WRAS EPDM diaphragm and sealing components rather than the standard repair kit.
The PU220D WRAS repair kit consists of:
✓ WRAS EPDM diaphragm
✓ Diaphragm spring
✓ Plunger
✓ Tube O-ring
These should be selected when servicing the corresponding WRAS PU220D valve.

Important – Standard vs WRAS PU220D Kits
The standard 220 Series repair kits and PU220D WRAS repair kits are not the same size.
For example:
3/8" & 1/2" Standard 220 Series → 46mm diaphragm
3/8" & 1/2" PU220D WRAS → 40.5mm diaphragm
3/4" Standard 220 Series → 56mm diaphragm
3/4" PU220D WRAS → 49.1mm diaphragm
1" Standard 220 Series → 70mm diaphragm
1" PU220D WRAS → 62.5mm diaphragm
Customers should not select a kit purely by port size; they also need to identify whether they have a standard 220 Series valve or the PU220D WRAS version.
Choosing the Correct Repair Kit
For a standard brass or stainless steel Shako 220 Series valve, select:
Valve port size
Required seal material – NBR, EPDM, FKM/Viton or HNBR
For a PU220D WRAS valve, select the corresponding ZGPU220D WRAS repair kit according to the exact valve model and port size.
If the valve identification is uncertain, check the model marking before ordering.

Why Repair a PU220 Solenoid Valve?
Where the valve body, solenoid tube and electrical components remain serviceable, replacing the internal diaphragm, plunger and seals can provide a cost-effective alternative to replacing the complete valve.
These repair kits are particularly useful for established installations containing multiple Shako PU220 valves, allowing existing equipment to be maintained while retaining the original valve body and pipe connections.
The availability of several elastomer options also allows the replacement kit to match the sealing material originally specified for the application.
