1¼"–2" Smart Failsafe 3-Way Stainless Steel Motorised Ball Valve – CNX50S
The CNX50S-3WAY Series is a heavy-duty 3-way stainless steel motorised ball valve combining a 50Nm smart electric actuator with 1¼", 1½" or 2" stainless steel T-port or L-port ball valves.
Designed for automated flow diversion and distribution, the assembly provides 12-second electrical operation, capacitor failsafe return, open and closed position feedback, OLED display, manual override and an anti-condensation heater as standard.
Available with 24V AC/DC or 95–265V AC power supplies, the CNX50S smart actuator delivers 50Nm output torque and IP67 environmental protection. The valve assembly is suitable for compatible air, water, gas and liquids.

The CNX50S electrically rotates the 3-way ball through 90° to control the flow path between the three valve ports.
Depending upon the selected ball configuration and actuator setup, the valve can be used to divert, redirect or distribute flow between connected pipelines.
T-port and L-port ball configurations are available, with multiple T-port flow patterns allowing the valve arrangement to be matched to the required process function.
Smart CNX50S Actuator
The CNX50S provides substantially more functionality than a basic open/close electric actuator.

The actuator provides two volt-free feedback switches for open and closed position indication. The feedback contacts do not supply voltage and are rated at 30V DC, 0.5A maximum.
Failsafe Operation
The CNX50S incorporates an internal capacitor system that provides automatic failsafe operation if the electrical supply is lost.
During normal operation the capacitors are maintained in a charged state. If mains power fails, stored electrical energy is used to drive the actuator to its configured failsafe position.
This provides controlled valve movement during a power failure without requiring an external battery or continuously powered backup supply.
Important: After a failsafe operation, approximately 1–2 minutes of power is required to recharge the failsafe capacitors before the failsafe function is available again.
Voltage Options
Two smart actuator power options are available:
24V AC/DC
Suitable for 24V AC or 24V DC control supplies.
95–265V AC
Wide-range AC input suitable for common mains control voltages within this range.
12V DC is not available with the CNX50S smart actuator.

T-Port & L-Port Flow Options
The 3-way stainless steel ball valve is available with either a T-port or L-port ball.
T-Port
Suitable for applications requiring multiple flow paths, distribution or diversion between three connected ports.
The manufacturer's standard T-port configuration is Flow Pattern D, with alternative A, B and E patterns available.
L-Port
Suitable for diverting flow between two alternative outlet/inlet paths while isolating the remaining connection.
Selecting the correct ball pattern is important because the available flow paths depend upon the internal T or L ball drilling and actuator stop positions.
