Kuhnway Queen MD Solenoid Valve Diaphragm & Spring – 1/2"–2"
Replacement diaphragm and spring assembly for Kuhnway Queen MD Series stainless steel solenoid valves, available for valve sizes from 1/2" to 2".
The replacement assembly includes the flexible valve diaphragm together with the SUS304 stainless steel spring and stainless steel support plate, providing the principal diaphragm components required when servicing an existing Queen MD solenoid valve.
Available with NBR, EPDM or FKM/Viton diaphragm materials, allowing the replacement assembly to be selected according to the original valve specification and controlled media.
Six diaphragm sizes are available for the MD15, MD20, MD25, MD32, MD40 and MD50 stainless steel solenoid valves.

Diaphragm Assembly Contents
The replacement assembly includes:

✓ Item 11 – NBR, EPDM or FKM/Viton diaphragm assembly
✓ Stainless steel diaphragm support plate
The support plate provides mechanical support to the flexible diaphragm during valve operation.
Diaphragm Material Options
Three diaphragm materials are available:
NBR – Nitrile
General-purpose elastomer commonly used with air, water, oils and other compatible industrial fluids.
EPDM
Commonly selected for water and compatible aqueous media where EPDM chemical resistance is appropriate.
FKM / Viton
Selected for applications requiring improved resistance to many oils, fuels and compatible industrial process fluids.
The appropriate diaphragm material should be selected according to the controlled media, concentration and operating conditions.

Selecting the Correct Diaphragm
Select according to the existing valve model or port size:
1/2" → MD15 → 46.5mm
3/4" → MD20 → 57mm
1" → MD25 → 65mm
1¼" → MD32 → 77mm
1½" → MD40 → 90mm
2" → MD50 → 116mm
Then select the required NBR, EPDM or FKM/Viton diaphragm material.
Using both the valve model and diaphragm diameter provides a useful additional check when identifying replacement parts for an older valve.
Temperature
Maximum Media Temperature: +90°C
The stated maximum media temperature of the complete MD valve assembly is +90°C, limited by the Class F M16 solenoid coil.
Although individual elastomer materials may have different inherent temperature capabilities, the operating temperature of the complete valve should not exceed its specified maximum.
Stainless Steel Components
Spring Material: SUS304 stainless steel
Support Plate: SUS304 / BSFB stainless steel
The use of stainless steel for the diaphragm support components complements the stainless steel construction of the Queen MD valve and provides good corrosion resistance for compatible industrial fluids.
Maintenance & Repair
The diaphragm is a principal moving and sealing component within the MD solenoid valve.

Why Replace the Diaphragm Assembly?
Where the stainless steel valve body, solenoid operator and other components remain serviceable, replacing a worn diaphragm assembly can provide a considerably more economical alternative to replacing the complete solenoid valve.
The replacement assembly includes not only the diaphragm but also the SUS304 spring and stainless steel support plate, allowing the principal diaphragm operating components to be renewed together.
With six sizes covering 1/2" through 2", replacement assemblies are available across the main Queen MD stainless steel solenoid valve range.
