3/4"–3" Dust Collector Air Pilot Pulse Valve – PR / RU Series
The PR and RU Series are high-flow 2/2 way normally closed air-piloted pulse valves specifically designed for reverse pulse cleaning of industrial dust collectors, baghouse filters and cartridge filtration systems.
Unlike the PI and PU versions with integral solenoid pilots, the PR and RU Series are remotely air-piloted valves, allowing the pilot solenoid or pneumatic control system to be installed separately. This makes them particularly suitable for larger dust collection installations, remote pilot manifolds and systems where electrical equipment needs to be positioned away from the main pulse valve.
Operating from 0.5 to 7 Bar, the range combines extremely fast 20–50ms opening with large 25–80mm valve orifices and high flow capacity up to 172 m³/h. The manufacturer confirms PR threaded sizes from 3/4" to 3" and RU compression versions in 25mm and 40mm configurations.

The PR and RU valves remain closed until pilot air pressure is released through the external pilot connection. The resulting rapid diaphragm movement produces a short, high-flow pulse of compressed air through the dust collector cleaning system.
This rapid discharge helps remove accumulated dust from filter bags or cartridges while keeping the pulse duration short and reducing unnecessary compressed-air consumption.

The extremely rapid opening characteristic is particularly important in pulse-jet dust collection. Rather than providing continuous airflow, the valve releases a sudden high-volume burst of compressed air to create the pressure wave required for effective filter cleaning.

The nylon fibre reinforced NBR diaphragm provides the flexibility required for rapid pulse operation together with the durability needed for repetitive cycling in industrial filtration systems. The manufacturer specifies anodised aluminium for the body and stainless steel for the tube and internal components.

The valves may be mounted in any position, providing flexibility when installing them around compressed-air manifolds and dust collector equipment.
Remote Air Pilot Operation
The PR and RU Series are designed for external pneumatic pilot control rather than incorporating the electrical solenoid directly onto the main pulse valve.

This arrangement allows the pilot solenoid valves to be grouped into a separate control manifold or positioned remotely from the dust collector pulse valves.
Pulse Sequence Controller Option
For complete automatic dust collector cleaning systems, optional PSC electronic sequence controllers can be used with the appropriate solenoid pilot arrangement.
