1/4" 20 Bar Brass Solenoid Valve – SHAKO PU220AR-021
The SHAKO PU220AR-021 is a compact 1/4" 2/2 way normally closed direct acting brass solenoid valve designed for high-pressure control of compressed air, water, light oils and compatible neutral fluids.
Featuring a small 1.2mm orifice and direct acting operation, the PU220AR-021 requires no minimum pressure differential and operates from 0 to 20 Bar with an AC coil or 0 to 13 Bar with a DC coil. This makes it particularly suitable for high-pressure, low-flow applications where a compact zero-pressure solenoid valve is required.
The forged brass construction and low-power coil make the PU220AR-021 ideal for OEM equipment, control panels, pneumatic systems, laboratory equipment, gas monitoring systems and general industrial automation.
Available with NBR, FKM (Viton), EPDM or HNBR seals and optional ATEX / IECEx explosion-protected solenoid operators, the valve can be configured for a wide range of industrial fluid control applications.

The direct acting construction operates from zero pressure differential and does not rely upon upstream pressure to open or close the valve.
The smaller 1.2mm orifice provides increased pressure capability compared with the standard PU220AR-02 and medium-pressure PU220AR-022, making the PU220AR-021 particularly suitable for high-pressure, low-flow duties.

Compact High-Pressure Design
The SHAKO PU220AR-021 combines a compact forged brass body with direct acting zero-pressure operation and increased pressure capability for high-pressure, low-flow applications.
Unlike pressure-assisted diaphragm valves, the PU220AR-021 does not require upstream pressure to operate. Energising the solenoid directly operates the internal plunger, providing quick response from zero pressure differential.
Its smaller 1.2mm orifice allows operating pressures up to 20 Bar with an AC coil and up to 13 Bar with a DC coil while retaining the compact dimensions of the PU220AR Series.
This makes the PU220AR-021 particularly useful where the standard PU220AR-02 or medium-pressure PU220AR-022 does not provide sufficient pressure capability and maximum flow is not the primary requirement.
A choice of NBR, FKM, EPDM and HNBR sealing materials allows the valve to be configured for different media and temperature requirements, while optional explosion-protected ATEX / IECEx coils extend its use to suitable hazardous-area installations.
