Brass CO2 Solenoid Valve for Planted Aquariums – 6mm Tube
Compact 2/2 way normally closed brass solenoid valve designed for automatic CO₂ control in planted aquariums. Supplied fully assembled with 6mm tube fittings, this valve provides a simple way to switch the CO₂ supply on and off using a timer, controller or other suitable electrical control system.
The direct-acting design operates from zero pressure differential up to 7 Bar DC or 8.5 Bar AC, making it suitable for aquarium CO₂ systems where reliable shut-off is required. When electrical power is removed, the valve automatically closes to stop the gas supply.
Built around a compact SHAKO brass solenoid valve and fitted with a low-power Nass Magnet System 8/22 coil, the assembly consumes only 4.5 Watts DC, helping minimise coil temperature during continuous operation. The solenoid is 100% duty rated and supplied complete with an IP65 DIN connector.

The valve remains closed when electrical power is removed and opens when the coil is energised. This makes it particularly suitable for planted aquarium CO₂ systems where the gas supply needs to be automatically shut off when not required.
Because the valve is direct acting, no minimum pressure differential is required for operation.

The valve is supplied fully assembled with two nickel-plated brass tube adaptors. Each adaptor uses a 1/8" BSPP male connection with an O-ring seal, eliminating the need for PTFE tape or thread sealant.
The tube connections incorporate locking nuts to provide a secure mechanical grip on the 6x4mm tubing.

A normally closed solenoid valve is commonly used to automate CO₂ injection in planted aquariums.
