Shako PU225H Normally Closed High Pressure Solenoid Valve Seal Kit
Genuine Shako PU225H seal and diaphragm repair kit for PU225H Series 2/2 way normally closed high-pressure solenoid valves.
The kit includes the principal internal service components including the normally closed plunger, plunger spring, armature tube O-ring, reinforced diaphragm and diaphragm spring.
Available with NBR, EPDM, FKM (Viton) or HNBR seals for PU225H valves from 3/8" to 1".
The PU225H uses a nylon-reinforced elastomer diaphragm, therefore the complete valve has a maximum media temperature of +90°C, irrespective of the higher theoretical temperature capability of some individual elastomer materials.

Seal Material Options

NBR – general-purpose seal option
EPDM – suitable for compatible water-based media
FKM / Viton – suitable for many oils, fuels and compatible chemicals
HNBR – enhanced mechanical and chemical resistance for compatible applications
Maximum Media Temperature
Maximum Media Temperature: +90°C
Although the individual elastomer compounds may have higher theoretical temperature capabilities, these figures do not represent the operating temperature of the complete PU225H valve.
The PU225H uses a nylon-reinforced diaphragm assembly, and the manufacturer's maximum media temperature for the valve is +90°C.
Therefore, +90°C must not be exceeded regardless of the selected NBR, EPDM, FKM or HNBR seal material.

Normally Closed Operation
The PU225H is a 2/2 way normally closed, failsafe-closed solenoid valve.
With electrical power removed, the valve returns to its closed position. Energising the solenoid operates the armature and allows the pressure-assisted valve mechanism to open.
The replacement kit therefore incorporates the correct normally closed plunger and spring arrangement for the PU225H.
Reinforced Diaphragm Construction
The PU225H diaphragm uses elastomer with nylon reinforcement to provide the strength and dimensional stability required for high-pressure, pressure-assisted operation.
Because this is a composite diaphragm assembly, its maximum operating temperature is determined by the complete construction, rather than simply the temperature capability of the selected elastomer.
This is why an FKM seal option, for example, does not increase the PU225H valve's maximum media temperature above +90°C.
