1/2" WRAS Water Solenoid Valve 0.35–16 Bar – ASCO Sirai L182D01

The ASCO Sirai L182D01-12 is a 1/2" BSP WRAS approved brass solenoid valve designed for potable water, hot water services, water treatment and industrial water-control applications.

This 2/2 way normally closed, pressure-assisted diaphragm valve combines a large 13.5mm orifice, Kv flow factor of 3.8 m³/h and an operating differential pressure range of 0.35 to 16 Bar. The EPDM version uses WRAS certified sealing material and can handle water temperatures up to +140°C.

Maximum Allowable Pressure (PS): 20 Bar

The pressure-assisted design uses the inlet pressure to operate the main diaphragm, allowing a relatively large flow path while maintaining compact overall valve dimensions.

A minimum 0.35 Bar pressure differential is required for reliable switching.

The 1/2" version uses the same 13.5mm nominal orifice as the 3/8" model but provides an increased Kv of 3.8 m³/h, making it an excellent general-purpose size for commercial water-control systems.

The L182D01 uses EPDM sealing material manufactured from a WRAS certified compound.

This construction makes the valve particularly suitable for potable-water installations requiring the durability of an industrial brass solenoid valve.

The high-temperature EPDM configuration is a significant advantage where the valve is required for hot potable water, heating equipment or other water systems operating above the limits of conventional WRAS solenoid valves.

Switching Performance

Opening Time: 70ms

Closing Time: 600ms

The 600ms closing time provides a controlled shut-off of the main diaphragm rather than an extremely abrupt interruption of water flow.

The manufacturer specifies these response times specifically for the 1/2" version.
