3/4" Brass Latching Solenoid Valve – Shako LPU22506A
The Shako LPU22506A is a high-flow 3/4" 2/2 way latching brass solenoid valve designed for low-power and battery-operated fluid control applications where the valve must remain open or closed without continuous electrical power.
Unlike a conventional continuously energised solenoid valve, the LPU225 uses a short electrical pulse to change position. Once switched, the valve remains in its last position without power, significantly reducing electrical consumption and coil heating.
The valve is servo / pressure assisted, requiring a minimum 0.5 Bar pressure differential, and provides a large 25mm orifice with Kv 165 L/min for higher-flow air, water, gas and light oil applications.
Latching Operation
The LPU22506A uses a 10W pulse-operated latching coil. Electrical power is required only momentarily to change the valve position.
Stay Closed: -ve Terminal 1 / +ve Terminal 2
Stay Open: +ve Terminal 1 / -ve Terminal 2
Pulse Duration: 5–20 milliseconds
The valve then maintains the selected open or closed position without continuous coil power.
This makes the valve particularly suitable for battery-powered equipment, remote installations and applications where low electrical consumption is required.
