SHAKO Differential Pressure Gauge for UMF06 & UMF08 Filters
The SHAKO KUX0001002 differential pressure gauge is designed for use with UMF06 3/4" and UMF08 1" coalescing and activated carbon compressed-air filters.
Rather than displaying system pressure, the gauge monitors the pressure differential (ΔP) across the filter element. As contamination builds within the element, the pressure drop across the filter increases, providing a clear visual indication of filter condition and when element replacement is required.
A simple green and red display allows maintenance personnel to check filter condition at a glance.
How the Differential Gauge Works
The gauge compares the air pressure entering the filter with the pressure leaving the filter.
With a clean filter element and low pressure drop, the needle remains within the green zone, indicating normal operation.
As the filter element becomes contaminated, airflow restriction increases and the pressure differential rises.
When the differential reaches approximately 0.7 Bar or greater, the needle enters the red zone, indicating that the coalescing or activated carbon filter element should be inspected and replaced.

Why Monitor Differential Pressure?
Replacing an element too early wastes filter life, while operating with an excessively contaminated element can restrict compressed-air flow and increase pressure losses.
Monitoring differential pressure provides a practical indication of the actual condition of the filter element, helping maintenance teams identify when restriction has increased sufficiently to warrant element replacement.
