½-2" WRAS Smart Motorised Ball Valve – CNX20S Failsafe
The CNX20S WRAS Series is a heavy-duty WRAS-approved 2/2 way smart motorised ball valve, Certificate 2211362, with OLED display, position feedback and capacitor failsafe return, designed for potable water and demanding industrial flow-control applications.
Available from ½" to 2" BSP, the range combines a WRAS-approved brass full-bore ball valve with the powerful 20Nm CNX20S smart electric actuator, providing reliable power open/power close operation together with automatic failsafe return.
The smart actuator incorporates an OLED screen, visual valve position indication, manual override, open and closed volt-free position feedback switches and an internal anti-condensation heater as standard.
Available in 24V AC/DC or universal 95–265V AC versions.
Smart Actuator & Failsafe Operation
The CNX20S uses an intelligent electric actuator with internal capacitor failsafe technology.
During normal operation the actuator provides powered opening and closing of the valve.
In the event of loss of electrical power, stored energy within the actuator allows the valve to move automatically to its designated failsafe position.
This provides an important safety function for applications where the water or process supply must be isolated following electrical failure.
The failsafe capacitor requires approximately 1–2 minutes to recharge between failsafe operations.
Smart OLED Display
The CNX20S actuator includes an integrated OLED display for convenient local monitoring of the actuator.

Open & Closed Position Feedback
Two independent volt-free feedback switches are included as standard.
These provide confirmation of:

Because the contacts are volt-free, they do not supply an output voltage themselves and can be integrated into suitable external control, alarm, PLC or BMS circuits.
Anti-Condensation Heater
A 0.6W internal anti-condensation heater is included within the actuator.
This helps reduce condensation within the actuator housing where temperature changes and humid operating conditions could otherwise result in internal moisture formation.
