1/2" BSP 316 Stainless Steel Y Strainer Filter – 16 Bar
The YS12SS is a 1/2" BSP 316 stainless steel Y pattern filter strainer designed to remove dirt, debris and solid particles from liquid, air, steam and compatible process media.
Featuring a 0.3mm stainless steel filter mesh, the Y strainer helps protect downstream valves, pumps, regulators, flow equipment and other process components from contamination and particulate damage.
The CNC machined 316 stainless steel body provides excellent corrosion resistance for industrial and process applications, while the removable filter assembly allows the strainer element to be accessed for inspection and cleaning.
Rated for operating pressures from 0 to 16 Bar and pressure tested to 55 Bar, the YS12SS can be installed in any mounting position and operates across a wide media temperature range from -29°C to +232°C.

Y Pattern Filtration
The Y-shaped body positions the stainless steel filter element at an angle to the main flow path, allowing solid contamination to be collected within the removable strainer section.
This makes Y strainers particularly useful for protecting solenoid valves, control valves, pumps, regulators and other equipment where debris within the pipeline could cause blockage, wear or unreliable operation.
Maintenance
The filter mesh can be removed for periodic inspection and cleaning, allowing collected contamination to be cleared without replacing the complete Y strainer.
The M24 × 1.5mm filter housing thread provides access to the removable filter assembly.
Replacement filter mesh kits are available for the YSS Series.
