Description
Shako ZGUX Manual Drain Valve – FRL Filter Bowls
Genuine Shako ZGUX manual filter drain valve for compatible Shako compressed-air filters and FRL air treatment units.
The manual drain allows accumulated water and oil condensate to be discharged from the filter bowl by manually operating the drain.
Designed as a replacement spare part for Shako FRL filter bowls, providing a simple and reliable method of manually draining collected condensate during routine compressed-air system maintenance.
The ZGUX standard version fits Shako FRL units except stainless steel series. For stainless steel FRL units, use the ZGUX-S version.

Function: Drains accumulated water and oil from the filter bowl
The ZGUX remains closed during normal operation. To discharge accumulated condensate, the drain is manually operated to release water and oil collected in the bottom of the filter bowl.
Unlike an automatic or semi-automatic drain, the ZGUX requires manual operation to discharge condensate.
Compatibility
ZGUX – Suitable for compatible Shako FRL air treatment units, excluding stainless steel series.
ZGUX-S – Suitable for Shako stainless steel FRL series.
Always confirm the existing filter bowl and drain type before ordering a replacement.

Maintenance
Compressed-air filters collect moisture, oil and other contamination removed from the air supply.
The filter bowl should be checked regularly and accumulated condensate drained before it reaches a level that could affect filtration performance or pass downstream.
Before removing or replacing the complete drain assembly, isolate the compressed-air supply and fully depressurise the filter bowl.
