Description
6–10mm Refrigerant Solder Tube Solenoid Valve – RSG 216-DN6-LRG
The RSG 216-DN6-LRG is a compact 2/2 way refrigerant solenoid valve with 6mm or 10mm solder-tube connections, designed for refrigeration, heat pump and cooling systems.
Unlike the DN5-LR with furnace-soldered copper tubes, the DN6-LRG uses turned solder-tube connections screwed into the valve body, providing a different connection arrangement while retaining compact dimensions and low-power operation.
With a 6mm orifice, Kv up to 0.4 m³/h and operating pressure from 0.05 to 30 Bar, the valve is particularly suited to smaller refrigerant lines.
Valve Function & Operation
Function: 2/2 Way Normally Closed
Option: Normally Open
Operation: Pressure Assisted Piston
Nominal Size: DN6
Orifice: 6mm
Minimum Differential Pressure: 0.05 Bar
Maximum Operating Pressure: 30 Bar
Burst Pressure: 180 Bar
The pressure-assisted piston design allows the valve to operate with only 0.05 Bar minimum differential pressure.
Turned Solder Tube Connections
Available connections:
✓ 6mm Solder Tube
✓ 10mm Solder Tube
The DN6-LRG uses turned solder tubes which screw into the valve body.
This distinguishes the LRG connection design from the integral furnace-soldered copper tube construction used on other RSG 216-LR refrigeration valves.
Orifice & Flow Capacity
Orifice: 6mm
Kv Flow Factor: 0.3 or 0.4 m³/h
The actual Kv depends upon the selected tube connection and is based on water with a pressure differential of 1 Bar.
Refrigerant Compatibility
The 216-DN6-LRG is suitable for compatible refrigerants including:
✓ R23
✓ R134A
✓ R407C
✓ R410A
✓ R507
✓ R513
✓ R1234yf
✓ R1224yd
✓ R1234ze
✓ R449A
✓ R469A
Other gases, oils and fluids below 40 cSt may also be suitable where compatible with the valve materials, seals and operating conditions.
The valve must not be operated dry without media.
Construction & Materials
Body: Brass
Optional Body: AISI 303 Stainless Steel
Internals: Stainless Steel
Standard Seal: EPDM
Optional Seals:
✓ NBR
✓ FKM
✓ CR
Standard Seat: PTFE
Optional Seats:
✓ FKM
✓ CR
Alternative seal and seat materials allow the valve configuration to be selected according to the refrigerant, lubricant and operating conditions.
Temperature Range
Media Temperature:
-40°C to +150°C
Ambient Temperature:
-40°C to +70°C
The broad temperature range makes the DN6-LRG suitable for both low-temperature refrigeration service and higher-temperature sections of refrigeration and heat-pump systems.
Actual operating limits should be considered together with the selected refrigerant, lubricant, seals and coil configuration.
System 10/30 Solenoid Coil
The DN6-LRG uses the compact System 10/30 solenoid operator.
DC Power: 6 Watts
AC Power: 8VA
Insulation: Class F
Duty Cycle: 100%
Electrical Connection: DIN43650A
Protection: IP65 with Connector
The electrical connector is included.
The low-power coil is particularly useful in refrigeration equipment where valves may remain energised continuously for extended periods.
Voltage Options
Available voltages include:
✓ 12V DC
✓ 24V DC
✓ 110V DC
✓ 200V DC
✓ 24V AC
✓ 110V AC
✓ 230V AC
Normally Open Option
The standard RSG 216-DN6-LRG is normally closed, stopping refrigerant flow when electrical power is removed.
A normally open version is also available where the system requires flow in the de-energised condition.
Mounting Options
The valve incorporates M4 mounting holes for secure mechanical installation.
Optional mounting brackets are also available, allowing the valve to be independently supported within refrigeration machinery rather than relying upon the connecting pipework.
Typical Applications
✓ Commercial Refrigeration
✓ Industrial Refrigeration
✓ Heat Pump Systems
✓ Refrigerant Gas Lines
✓ Refrigerant Liquid Lines
✓ Chillers & Cooling Systems
✓ Air Conditioning Equipment
✓ Refrigeration Cabinets
✓ Freezer Equipment
✓ OEM Refrigeration Machinery
✓ Refrigeration Test Equipment
✓ Compatible Oil & Fluid Systems
Why Choose the RSG 216-DN6-LRG?
The RSG 216-DN6-LRG provides a compact refrigeration valve specifically designed around 6mm and 10mm turned solder-tube connections.
Its 6mm orifice, Kv up to 0.4 m³/h and 0.05–30 Bar pressure range provide useful performance for smaller refrigerant lines, while the 180 Bar burst pressure and -40°C to +150°C media range suit demanding refrigeration conditions.
The low-power 6W DC / 8VA AC System 10/30 coil, IP65 protection and 100% duty rating make it well suited to continuously controlled refrigeration and cooling equipment.
