DN15 200 Bar Air Pilot Coaxial Valve – RSG 283
The RSG 283 is a DN15 2/2 way externally controlled coaxial valve designed for reliable shut-off and control of compatible liquids and gases at pressures from 0 to 200 Bar.
Available as normally closed or normally open, the valve uses a double-acting pneumatic piston with return spring, controlled by a 3–8 Bar pilot air supply. Because the operating force is supplied independently of the process medium, the RSG 283 operates from zero differential pressure and is particularly suited to high-pressure, vacuum and demanding industrial process applications.
The DN15 valve provides a manufacturer-rated Kv flow coefficient of 7.2 m³/h and is available with standard 3/8", 1/2" or 3/4" BSP connections.
Valve Function & Operation
The RSG 283 is an externally controlled 2/2 way coaxial valve available in two switching configurations.
283A – Normally Closed
The valve remains closed in its normal unactuated position and opens when the pneumatic pilot actuator is operated.
283B – Normally Open
The valve remains open in its normal unactuated position and closes when the pneumatic pilot actuator is operated.

Flow Capacity
The RSG 283 has a manufacturer-rated conventional Kv flow coefficient of 7.2 m³/h.
The combination of a full DN15 flow path and 200 Bar pressure capability provides substantial flow capacity for a compact externally controlled coaxial valve.
Externally Controlled Coaxial Design
The RSG 283 combines a coaxial process-valve construction with an externally controlled pneumatic actuator.
The actuator uses a double-acting piston with return spring, operated by a 3–8 Bar pilot air supply. Pilot connections are G1/4 and a NAMUR interface is provided for direct mounting of a suitable pilot solenoid valve.

Vacuum & Clean Service

Unlike pressure-assisted valves, its externally controlled pneumatic actuator allows reliable operation from zero differential pressure.
