1/2" 3/2 Universal Brass Solenoid Valve – ERA SIB 309380-0122
The ERA SIB 309380-0122 is a heavy-duty 1/2" 3/2 way universal direct-acting brass solenoid valve designed for compressed air, inert gases and compatible industrial media at pressures from 0 to 10 Bar.
Its universal 3-port, 2-position design allows a single valve to be configured for normally closed, normally open or diverting operation. Direct-acting operation means no minimum pressure differential is required, making the 309380 suitable for pneumatic and gas systems where pressure may fall to zero during operation.
Featuring a large 9mm orifice, 13 L/min water-equivalent flow and stainless steel internal components, the valve provides useful flow capacity for a direct-acting 3/2 design while retaining a compact brass construction.

The universal three-port construction allows the ERA SIB 309380-0122 to be connected for several different valve functions:

This flexibility makes the valve particularly useful for pneumatic switching, actuator control, gas control and OEM applications where different 3-way functions may be required.
Direct Acting – Zero Pressure Operation
The 309380-0122 is direct acting, so operation does not depend upon inlet pressure or a minimum differential pressure across the valve.
Working pressure: 0 to 10 Bar
This allows the valve to switch reliably from zero pressure through to its maximum rated operating pressure.
The valve is not specified for vacuum service.

The 13 L/min figure is a flow measurement based on water with a 1 Bar pressure drop rather than a conventional Kv value expressed in m³/h.

Media compatibility should always be checked against the brass body, stainless steel internals and selected seal material.
Water Applications
The 309380 can also be used with compatible water applications; however, the piston should be greased regularly when used with water to help prevent sticking or blockage.
For applications primarily involving continuous water service, a solenoid valve specifically designed for water may provide a more suitable long-term solution.

Universal 3/2 Valve Design
One of the main advantages of the ERA SIB 309380-0122 is its universal 3/2 configuration.
Rather than requiring separate normally closed and normally open valve models, the three ports can be connected to provide the required function. This simplifies stockholding and provides greater flexibility for machinery builders, pneumatic engineers and maintenance departments.
Combined with zero-rated direct acting operation and a relatively large 9mm orifice, the valve provides a versatile solution for industrial 3-way flow control.
