Pneumatic Precision Speed Control Valve – SV Series
The Shako SV Series precision pneumatic speed control valves provide fine adjustment of airflow for accurate control of pneumatic cylinder and actuator speed.
Designed as one-way flow control valves, the SV Series allows controlled airflow in one direction while providing free flow in the reverse direction. This enables smooth adjustment of cylinder extension or retraction speed for improved machine control and consistent actuator movement.
Available from 1/8" to 1/2" BSP, with optional NPT or Rc threads, the range features robust aluminium alloy construction and panel mounting for industrial automation, machine building and compressed air applications. The four available models provide effective flow areas from 3.8mm² to 48mm².

How a Pneumatic Speed Controller Works
The SV Series controls pneumatic cylinder speed by restricting airflow in one direction through an adjustable precision metering mechanism.
Air travelling in the opposite direction bypasses the restriction, allowing substantially freer return flow.
By adjusting the valve, the engineer can regulate cylinder extension or retraction speed to provide smoother movement, reduce excessive actuator speed and improve machine control.
