1" WRAS Modulating Motorised Ball Valve 40 Bar ABV08W/9M
The ABV08W/9M 1" WRAS approved modulating motorised ball valve provides accurate proportional flow control for potable water, HVAC, building management and industrial process applications.
Combining a WRAS approved nickel-plated CW617N brass ball valve with an IP67 electronic modulating actuator, the valve can be positioned throughout its 90° operating range using a 4–20mA, 0–10V or 0–5V analogue control signal.
The large 25mm flow bore provides high flow capacity, while the electronic actuator offers approximately 1.2° positioning accuracy across 75 positions. Full travel takes approximately 12 seconds.
A 4–20mA position feedback output allows the actual valve position to be monitored by a PLC, BMS or process controller, while a separate status output provides an electrical fault indication.
An optional modulating failsafe version is available for applications requiring automatic valve return following loss of electrical power.

Precision Modulating Flow Control
Unlike a conventional motorised ball valve that operates only fully open or fully closed, the ABV08W/9M responds proportionally to an analogue control signal.
This allows the valve position — and therefore system flow — to be varied automatically according to the control signal from a PLC, BMS or process controller.

Modulating Failsafe Option
An optional ABVW/9MAR modulating failsafe actuator is available.
During normal operation, the actuator positions the valve proportionally according to the selected analogue control signal. Following loss of electrical power, the failsafe system automatically returns the valve to its predetermined safe position.
This provides proportional flow control during normal operation combined with automatic emergency positioning during a power failure.
Manual Override & Position Indication
The actuator incorporates manual override for commissioning, maintenance and emergency operation.
A visual position indicator provides immediate confirmation of the approximate mechanical valve position.
