Flanged Pilot-Assisted Float Control Valve – Z-Tide Industrial BFF-D Series
The Z-Tide Industrial BFF-D Series is a premium flanged pilot-assisted float control valve designed to automatically maintain liquid levels in storage tanks, reservoirs and process vessels. Featuring an externally controlled pressure-assisted piston design with a remotely mounted float pilot valve, the BFF-D Series automatically opens to refill the tank as the liquid level falls and closes smoothly once the required level is reached. Manufactured with a heavy-duty epoxy-coated ductile iron body, these valves provide exceptionally high flow rates while offering reliable automatic level control for water and compatible fluids.

Manufactured using a heavy-duty epoxy-coated ductile iron body with bronze piston and precision-machined bronze, brass and stainless steel internal components, the Z-Tide Industrial BFF-D Series has been engineered for reliable long-term operation in demanding industrial environments. The remotely mounted float pilot valve continuously monitors the liquid level within the tank and controls the main valve through a simple pilot pressure system. As the liquid level falls, the float pilot releases pressure from the control chamber, allowing the main valve to open rapidly and refill the tank. As the tank reaches the preset level, the float pilot closes, pressure builds within the control chamber and the main valve closes progressively to minimise hydraulic shock. The patented cylindrical piston design provides exceptionally high flow capacity while allowing the main valve to be mounted outside the reservoir for straightforward inspection and maintenance.
Ordering information
Simply select the required flange size, seal material and flange standard before adding the valve to your basket. A compatible ½" float pilot valve is required for operation and is available separately. Alternative flange standards, seal materials and custom sizes up to 56" are available on request.
