Description
Shako 5µm & 40µm Sintered Brass Filter Elements – Miniature FRL
Genuine Shako sintered bronze pneumatic filter elements for compatible Shako miniature compressed-air filters and FRL air treatment units.
Available in 40 micron and 5 micron filtration options, allowing the replacement element to be selected according to the required level of compressed-air filtration.
Designed as replacement filter elements for compatible Shako FRL700A+C, FRL600A+C and F200A+C miniature air treatment units.

KUS0032041 – 40 Micron
Sintered bronze filter element for general-purpose compressed-air filtration where standard particulate removal is required.
KUS0032042 – 5 Micron
Fine sintered bronze filter element for applications requiring a higher level of particulate filtration from the compressed-air supply.

Sintered Brass Filtration
The porous sintered brass construction allows compressed air to pass through the element while trapping solid contamination according to the selected micron rating.
Unlike disposable polyethylene elements, the sintered bronze element can be cleaned when contaminated and reused where its condition permits.
5 Micron or 40 Micron?
40 Micron → General-purpose compressed-air filtration and removal of larger particulate contamination.
5 Micron → Finer filtration where smaller particulate contamination needs to be removed from the compressed-air supply.
The appropriate filtration level should be selected according to the requirements of the downstream pneumatic equipment.
Maintenance
Filter elements should be inspected periodically as part of routine compressed-air system maintenance.
The existing KUS product information states that these sintered elements can be cleaned with spirits or kerosene when dirty and reused.
Replace the element if it becomes damaged, excessively contaminated or can no longer be satisfactorily cleaned.
