1" WRAS Water Solenoid Valve – Danfoss EV220BW


The Danfoss EV220BW 132U2500 is a 1" WRAS approved brass water solenoid valve designed for dependable control of potable water in commercial, industrial and building-services applications.

This 2/2 way normally closed, pressure-assisted valve provides a substantial 25mm orifice, Kv 11 m³/h flow capacity and 0.3–16 Bar operating pressure, together with controlled closing to help minimise hydraulic shock and water hammer.

Previously supplied as Danfoss 032U7125, the 132U2500 provides the current equivalent within the EV220BW potable-water valve range.

The pressure-assisted diaphragm design uses the differential pressure across the valve to assist opening and closing, requiring a minimum 0.3 Bar pressure differential for reliable operation.

The large 25mm flow path provides high water-flow capacity while retaining a compact inline valve design, making the 1" EV220BW particularly suitable for commercial and industrial water systems.

Anti-Water-Hammer Operation

Opening Time: 0.3 Seconds
Closing Time: 1.0 Second
The EV220BW incorporates a controlled closing characteristic designed to reduce sudden changes in water velocity as the valve shuts.
This 1-second controlled closing helps minimise pressure surges and water hammer, particularly in mains-water systems, long pipe runs and higher-flow installations.
