Electric Quarter Turn Valve Actuator – Multi Voltage IP67
The ABV-E2-MO quarter turn electric actuator provides reliable automatic operation of ball valves, butterfly valves and other 90° rotary valves. Designed for industrial automation, it combines compact dimensions, low power consumption and multi-voltage technology with optional failsafe operation and volt-free position feedback.
Available in Power Open/Power Close, Power Open/Power Close with Failsafe and Capacitor Failsafe versions, the actuator offers up to 20Nm breakaway torque with 15Nm running torque and a 10 second operating time. The robust IP67 enclosure, manual override and visual position indicator make it suitable for demanding commercial and industrial installations.

Control Options
Option A – Power Open / Power Close
Applying power to the Green control wire rotates the actuator 90° into the operating position.
Removing power from the Green wire automatically returns the actuator to its starting position.
If the main supply is interrupted the actuator remains in its current position.
Position feedback:
Blue & Grey = Open
Yellow & White = Closed
Option B – Power Open / Power Close with Failsafe
Operates as a standard three-wire actuator during normal operation.
If the main power supply fails, the internal capacitor automatically returns the actuator to its predetermined failsafe position.
Position feedback:
Blue & Grey = Open
Yellow & White = Closed
Option C – Capacitor Failsafe
Simple two-wire operation.
Power ON rotates the actuator 90°.
Power OFF automatically returns the actuator using stored capacitor energy.
Requires approximately 1.5-2 Mins power on to recharge between operations.
Consumes less than 0.5 Watt while stationary.

Reliability Tested
Unlike many electric actuators that quote only theoretical cycle life, the ABV-E2-MO has undergone an extended in-house endurance test.
A 1½" stainless steel ball valve fitted with a 12-24VDC failsafe actuator was continuously cycled every 60 seconds, 24 hours a day, using an SVDT22 digital cycle timer.
The actuator and valve completed 977,762 full open and close cycles before the valve itself eventually failed—over 13 times the actuator's published design life of 70,000 cycles. This provides excellent confidence for long-term industrial service.
