Unlike traditional inline arrestors, the ALF-C L-pattern design integrates surge absorption directly at the pipeline corner — reducing installation cost and improving damping efficiency.

Where Water Hammer Occurs

Water hammer commonly develops:

• Downstream of check (non-return) valves
• At pipeline direction changes
• In long horizontal pipe runs (>50 metres)
• During pump start-up or sudden shutdown

Installing the ALF-C at pipe bends significantly reduces shock waves, vibration, pipe stress and noise caused by sudden changes in water velocity.
