Z-Tide RET / REF Pressure Reducing Valve Seal Kit – Pre-2020
Replacement diaphragm and seal kit for older pre-2020 Z-Tide RET threaded and REF flanged direct-acting pressure reducing valves.
These kits are specifically intended for the original valve design incorporating the large rubber diaphragm, and are available with NBR or FKM (Viton) seals.
The RET and REF pressure reducing valve design was upgraded around 2019/2020, removing the large rubber diaphragm to improve internal flow. This product should therefore only be selected when servicing the older diaphragm-style valve.
Valve Compatibility
This replacement seal kit is designed for the original Z-Tide RET and REF direct-acting pressure reducing valves manufactured before the design change introduced around 2019/2020.
Compatible valve ranges include:

Original Diaphragm Design
Earlier RET and REF pressure reducing valves incorporated a large rubber diaphragm as part of the internal pressure regulating and sealing assembly.
The valve design was subsequently upgraded by removing this large diaphragm, helping to improve flow through the valve.
This seal kit contains the components required when maintaining an original pre-2020 diaphragm-style RET or REF valve.
Seal Material Options
NBR
The standard replacement option for valves originally fitted with NBR seals.
FKM / Viton
Available as an alternative for applications requiring FKM seal compatibility.
Always select the seal material appropriate for the fluid and operating conditions of the existing valve.
Important – New Seal Kit Compatibility
Owners of older RET and REF valves do not necessarily need to retain the original diaphragm-style seal arrangement.
The newer Z-Tide RET / REF seal kit without the large diaphragm can also be installed in the older valve design without affecting valve functionality.
This provides two servicing options:
✓ Replace using the original-style kit
✓ Upgrade to the newer diaphragm-free kit
For routine servicing, we recommend considering the newer seal kit shown in the related products, particularly where continued availability and future maintenance are important.
Identifying the Correct Seal Kit
Before ordering, check the internal seal arrangement of your existing RET or REF pressure reducing valve.
If the valve contains the large rubber diaphragm shown in the product image, it is the older design covered by this product.
If your valve does not use this large diaphragm, select the current RET / REF seal kit instead.
