3/8" Brass Latching Solenoid Valve – Shako LPU22503
The Shako LPU22503 is a 3/8" 2/2 way latching brass solenoid valve designed for low-power and battery-operated fluid control applications where the valve must remain open or closed without continuous electrical power.
Unlike a conventional continuously energised solenoid valve, the LPU225 uses a short electrical pulse to change position. Once switched, the valve remains in its last position without power, significantly reducing electrical consumption and coil heating.
The valve is servo / pressure assisted, requiring a minimum 0.5 Bar pressure differential, and is suitable for air, water, gas and light oils up to 50 cSt.
Latching Operation
The LPU22503 uses a 10W pulse-operated latching coil. Electrical power is required only momentarily to change the valve position.
Stay Closed: -ve Terminal 1 / +ve Terminal 2
Stay Open: +ve Terminal 1 / -ve Terminal 2
Pulse Duration: 5–20 milliseconds
The valve then mechanically/magnetically maintains the selected position without continuous coil power. lpu225-14
This makes the valve particularly useful for battery-powered equipment, remote systems and applications where minimising electrical consumption is important.
